Art for Tomorrow – Triennale Milano
May 12–14, 2025, Milan
Eneri took part in two public conversations during Art for Tomorrow, the international conference held at Triennale Milano as part of the opening of the 24th International Exhibition, Inequalities. Bringing together artists, architects, curators, and cultural leaders from across the international field, the program created a platform for discussion around public space, inequality, community, and the social role of art today.
Eneri joined the opening panel, Going Deep: Community-Based Arts, alongside Alvaro Barrington, Alessandro Cinque, and Michele De Lucchi, in a conversation moderated by Roslyn Sulcas. She also participated in the lightning talk What is (Un)Tradeable? with João Correia, presenting ideas connected to her broader artistic research. The conference also featured figures such as Theaster Gates, Antony Gormley, Shirin Neshat, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Norman Foster, and Jeff Koons, underscoring the scale of the context in which her work was presented.
During her three-day stay in Milan, and in direct response to the Triennale’s theme of inequalities, Eneri also carried out a large-scale building intervention in the city. Descending on rappel, she painted the closing phrase “Can institutions handle what they claim for?” across an 11-story building. Confronted with an environment marked by extreme wealth rather than the social contradictions invoked by the institution, the action brought the tensions addressed inside the conference into public space, turning the city itself into a site of critique.
