MAR PROJECT
"Em cada gesto o poder da doce força feminina".
(In every gesture, the power of the sweet feminine force).
Ancestry represented by the rose and the modernity of the pixo movement, both challenging aesthetic and behavioral norms.
The rose symbolizes the feminine that, for centuries, and with each passing year, transforms as a symbol, just as women transform through feminism in society.
The pixo, on the other hand, is a current and modern Brazilian aesthetic, yet it still carries the ancestry of being another form of expression on walls, an intrinsic behavior that has manifested since cave paintings.
The characteristics of "sweetness" or "femininity" do not diminish the inherent strength of women or people in general. The rose is delicacy, but also the thorns that accompany it, reflecting the complexity of femininity.
In the Brazilian context, the rose is often associated with pombagiras, ancestral entities that embody strength and sweetness through femininity. They are the guardians of the streets and crossroads, especially at night, when women are even more vulnerable.

The aim is to offer motivation, empowerment, art, and poetry not only to these women but to everyone who passes through these spaces.
It is recognized that the expression of both the feminine and the masculine transcends mere gender identity, inviting reflection on how we can all connect and learn from the different facets of our humanity, while also challenging the norms imposed by a patriarchal society.
